Covid-19 for Westminster Presbyterian Washington as of March 13

In light of all that is going on this day Friday, March 13 and with the presidents announcement of a national state of emergency in our nation, I thought I should communicate, sessions, thoughts on worship at Westminster Presbyterian Church

The physical, emotional, and spiritual safety of our church Members and guests has always been and will continue to be our number one concern. In light of the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we felt it important to share with you our current plans. We are closely monitoring the situation relying on trusted external sources like the Indiana State Department of Health as well as internal resources like our medical protocols and emergency action plans.

Disinfection and cleaning of high traffic areas will take place with increased frequency and as always hand sanitizer will be available The door of the sanctuary. In this season of lent and this unprecedented time in our history I take comfort in Psalm 46 - "be still and know that I am God." We will keep you updated here and via email. Be sure to check out our Facebook and Instagram pages and our web site for more frequent posts connected during this potentially isolating time.

1. We would like to say we will continue to have worship as scheduled.

2. We will no longer have a common loaf for communion until the virus is under control. We have purchased individual sealed communion cups with sealed wafers.

3. If you feel sick in any way please do not attend

4.  If you feel at risk, do not attend. We are working on live streaming the service. Or at least recording it for you to view At home.

5. We will maintain social distancing and ask we all remain diligent in caring for one another as we journey on this new road together.

6. One more thing sorry to have to bring this up however we do have to maintain the church keeping the mission of the church in motion. Please continue to bring or send your offering to church.  110 NE 2nd Street Washington, IN 47501

Thank you all for all you do to serve our Lord in this community. My prayers are with each of you. If I can be of assistance during this difficult time please call on me.

Our Mission

We believe In life and in death we belong to God. Through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ the love of God and communion of the Holy Spirit we trust in the one triune God, the Holy one of Israel whom alone we worship and serve.  We believe that the door to salvation is always open to everyone and so are the doors to our church.

Our mission is to be fully devoted to Jesus by opening our arms to those in search of the love and community of the body of Christ, the Church. We show God’s love and concern for each other at every opportunity. Through works of charity and opening our doors to listen and love, we feel that we are walking in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.

Our church offers an incredibly beautiful sacred space for all types of sacred celebration.
